At our next structure fire I'm going to hit the case with about 300 lbs psi of water to test it's ruggedness and see how waterproof the case really is.

I plan to do the same thing.... and in my line of work (around water, mud and serious possibility of dropping) Lifeproof appears to be the ticket. I'm just scared that I'll get it and then get all tempted by the 5.

I do know what you mean... I had the same feeling from the MagellanGPS ToughCase, which is waterproof and has a built in battery and GPS chip. It was designed for the 3G/3GS/touch and came out right around the same time as the iPhone 4.

Luckily, though, the reason I want this case so badly is mainly so I can take great pictures out on the lake and not have to worry about getting it wet. The iPhone 4's camera is pretty damn good, and I doubt the iPhone 5 will get much of an improvement over that without getting thicker. (which is something I've been saying should happen anyway; moar battery!)

So, as long as it comes out at all, I'll be pretty happy. And I'll get my revenge on that lake that usurped my first iPhone 4 last year. :eek:k:eek:k

Well make sure you tie a float to your phone. The lifeproof case is waterproof to 2.2 meters, but it sinks like a stone, so if you drop it in the lake again, you're still screwed if it's deeper than 6 feet

I just pre-ordered mine as well. Can't seem to find a release date anywhere on the website.

Pre-ordered and pre paid. Hope it comes quick. BTW, do you really have that Apple Tat Everything Apple. That's pretty hot. I think I need a Tat.

He's a guy....but it is a hot picture none the less!
How did you prepay? As far as I know, you have to wait 'till they send you an email for payment.

Sent me an email stating that if I prepaid, I would get it as soon as it's released. It figures he's a guy.
