I have a linksys router and I'm having a problem with it. Every time I come out of sleep mode my iPhone goes into edge mode and I have to manually get back into wifi. I'm reading that its a linksys problem. I'm planning on buying a new router. Could you please list your routers that are working with your iPhone problem free. Thanks.

I have my netgear at home and brought my old linksys to work and both work without a problem. What is the problem with your linksys? Will it not connect or does it connect and EDGE is still active. If thats the case, update the firmware and restore router to default settings and your gravy. Hope that helped.

Last night it worked perfectly. This morning it wouldn't connect at all! I switched from WEP to WPA and it works again. However, when I come out of sleep mode on the phone it just drops wireless and goes to edge. I then have to go to settings and click the router to get it going again.

Netgear WGR614.

I don't believe it's a Linksys issue, but you should check for a firmware update anyways.

Is you WIFI password protected?

Yes, I'm using WPA since I had a problem with WEP this morning.

I'll look at updating the firmware now

Thanks everyone!

Apple Airport Express at home and a Belkin at my girlfriend's house....both work perfectly but I had to manually enter Earthlink's DNS info to get the Belkin to go.

I have the latest firmware...

regardless of my problems, there are several threads with wifi problems so it's not a bad idea to have a list of good routers.

There's an entire forum dedicated to this subject. That would be a good place for you to post this thread.

I've got the Linksys WRT54GS v.6 with the latest firmware. Everything works great. Like I said on another thread, I used to have problems using the wifi with my wii, but a simple channel change fixed the prob. Make sure you have the latest fw update too. Linksys likes to update all the time.
