Sorry but I don't think so. I went in and I am on all of the default settings, none of them on. Did a reboot and still the same . Google's been useless so far. I do appreciate the replies.

It's TTY. Phone is set to work with a TTY machine. You must have turned that on.

Good where did you find TTY. I'm discovering several things in new places. I was forever finding Location
Services, it used to be one of the more obvious things.
