Loading contacts onto a new iPhone

Hi i am hoping someone is able to help me, my old iPhone 3 has just gone to god and i have another iPhone 3 now but cannot figure out how to get the info from my last back up from iTunes (ie contacts, txts ect)

Does someone know how to do this on a windows xp computer?

You should be able to sync your contacts back onto the device with ease. Have you sync'd the new phone to your iTunes?

If you have, right-click on your device in the left-hand column of iTunes. Select Restore from Backup. This should sync back your contacts. Alternatively, click on your device in the left-hand column, select the info tab and make sure sync contacts is checked.
