Any other Lotus Notes (Domino) users out there with an iPhone? I've successfuly exported my Lotus contacts database into my OsX Address Book and synchronized all my contacts to my iPhone (INVALUABLE!) now I just need to figure out a way to sync my Lotus Calendar with iCal to get it to send all my appointments, etc over to my iPhone. Anyone have any ideas? If I cross this hurdle, my iPhone will truly be transitioned to being my work device.

I got it to populate my Outlook with my Notes Calendar and then was able to sync. Only problem I am still working on is getting Repeating meetings to show up properly.

Haven't tried the connector and I know Visto plans to offer an OTA solution. In the interim I am using CompanionLink to sync Notes to Google Calendar (used that anyway before iPhone) and using SpanningSync to sync Google Calendar into my iCal.

Working Lotus Notes on iPhone! Email, Contacts and Calendar
I work in the IT department for a large hospital, our email is all Lotus Domino so it's vital to me that I get things working on the iPhone as soon as possible.Thanks to some helpful members of this forum I've got my contacts, calendar and email on my iPhone now. For email, I just setup a simple forwarding agent in my Lotus Notes inbox that tells the server that any new mail should be forwarded to my gMail account the agent uses a setting called "before new mail arrives" so this means before the email even gets to my Notes inbox, the server has already sent a copy over to my gMail account, it's a bit klunky and any replies I make to these emails come from my gMail account and not my lotus Notes account but it gets the job done. Contacts was a manual export of my contacts in lotus notes in vcard format and then I imported them them in to my Address Book app on my Macbook pro. To get my calendar synchronized I used two applications and Google Calendar. First, I used CompanionLink to sync my Lotus Notes' calendar to my Google calendar. CompanionLink is Windows based so this has to be done on a windows machine, I used a Windows XP install on the bootcamp partition of my Macbook pro. Second, I logged back into my OSX environment and used SpanningSync to synchronize iCal with my now populated Google Calendar, then I just synchronized my iPhone and it was all there. The whole process took quite a while and I'm hoping subsequent sync's won't be as long since they should just be incremental. This was my last hurdle to actually being able to use my iPhone as my businesss communicator and it's quite a relief. Thanks to everyone who sent in ideas!

It's not automated, but I have managed to export my Notes calendar to iCal (and from thence to iPhone), with a few hiccups:

You can't add any new calendar entries but it will let you view all existing entries and will resize the page if you are in portrait or landscape mode. I've attached some pictures for those that want to see what it looks like.

I've tried a number of different "solutions" from the Outlook Lotus Notes Plug-in to the Companion Link Route. I ended up using Yahoo POP3 email access to solve my Lotus Notes email issues and a large portion of getting calendar entries to the iPhone via iCal on the MAC.
Using this for email allows me to reply with my work email address.

There was a product called LipSync by a company called Kissworks. The company was, I think, just one person named Seth Ober. This is his current site: http://www.sethober.com/.
His product was actually a Lotus Notes database that, somehow, synced all of Notes (calendar, mail, to-do, etc.) with iCal. From what I can see it was buggy and worked for some people and not others (check it out on Version Tracker.)
If you search the web, you can still find a download for LipSync--and Seth's website lets you generate a free license key for the product.
This would have been, I think the EXACT product you were looking for--me too. It just doesn't seem to work--or, if it does, Seth is no longer supporting it so there is no one to ask. For example, I am using Mac Notes 7; maybe it only works with an older version?
Maybe someone will be able to create a similar product...heck, maybe a bunch of us could chip in to make it worth Seth's while to update his handiwork? (I sent him an e-mail but he hasn't responded.)

an iPhone update was sent out last month that allows you to set the From address on mails sent from the iPhone.

my wife's company uses Lotus mail and she wants to use her iPhone, can she just forward the messages to another email on the iPhone? what about sending or responding to the company emails that are forwarded? thanks, Greg
Hey Greg... If they are using the newest Lotus Notes. She can always use Mnotes and set a Homepage Bookmark.
There is also Notes Pro. Which is for Lotus notes. It's not flashy or fancy. but it does fetch my emails, Calender and Address book. There is some stuff she has to setup at work to make it function though.
Have her check with her company before doing e-mail forwarding. My Company frowns on it and could be fired due to security reasons. Also her IT dept. may have an option available to her already that she is not aware of.
Inotes works for viewing emails, but you can't reply or forward. We use notes at work and I use inotes at home and on the road. If you just need to read your emails on the iPhone, it works fine.
