Love this weather app Farenheit

Simple name: Fahrenheit. (Or Celsius). Not only is it a good weather app, it constantly updates the current temp as a badge on its icon!

As you can see, it's a chilly 14 degrees. Inside the app it has the typical weather information, including forecast.

Give it a look!

I tested this app a couple years ago but quickly deleted it because it didn't update the temperature on the icon automatically like the jailbreak apps/tweaks do. IIRC, I had to open the app or reboot to get it to update. Does it automatically update now?

Maybe I'm a little slow, but I couldn't tell the difference between the paid and free app. I bought the paid one, mainly because I don't like ads, and I was guessing that may have been the main difference between the two.

Rick, does this app update to display weather in a fixed location or does it use GPS?
Like most weather apps, you can set multiple locations, but you specify one for the push temp notification. It doesn't require GPS but will use it to find and set your current location if desired. Obviously Internet is required via WiFi or carrier. Works with Edge, 3G, 4G or LTE.

That's alright then at least you can preset multiple locations. I've been looking for something like this on the iPhone for a while, I was a massive fan of WeatherIcon (jailbreak required), really miss it.

I don't like this app. I had it in a folder with my other weather apps, and if there were any pending notifications, it would add them all. So if I had 2, and the temp was 32, it would read 34 on the folder.

Um, that's hardly the apps fault, it's how iOS works. It isn't designed to be in a folder, but on your main page for easy reading and access.

I've been testing the app. So far I like it. Temp does update. Not sure if I'll pay for it though. Anything really special in the paid version?

I don't like it, the temp is a batch and number. Looks like something pending on the app, I'm OCD about clearing all the numbers on the apps, I'd drive me nuts.

I have no less than 15 weather apps O_o. This is nice simply because it takes no effort to see the main information I want to know.

Just being curious, as I'm a weather junkie myself, what weather apps do you have on your phone?
I don't want to thread jack so if you want, you can PM me the list to keep the thread on track about the current discussion.
