A little interjection into the thread here...

So far this Mac v PC discussion has been very nice and civil. I've seen these degrade into very ugly battles numerous times on other sites.

Let's try to keep this one a nice and respectful conversation.

Thanks!

you can right click the new mighty mouse has right click and on the laptops you just put two fingers on the mouse pad and click and that is right click as well as two fingers to scroll around pages and stuff which I have never seen on a windows laptop only the dumb things around the edge.
Yeah, the NEW mouse. Alos, I have seen it on a Windows Laptop, both of my parent's to be exact. Only you can use one finger to do it, instead of two. So, seeing NEW there, where do you think they got the idea? 'Nuff said, they do the same exact things in different ways, hence the personal preference.

That said, I've been a Mac guy forever. I couldn't right click if my life depended on it.

Yes, good idea. Like I said before, it's just personal preference. Screaming at someone about your opinion isn't gonna change their's. Neither will insulting them. It really just depends on how you would like to use your computer.

I have tried explaining that to several friends in various arguments and they don't get it. I found the best way to win the Mac vs Windows war that I had with my step dad and my mom and several other friends is just let them use mine and show them what it can do. Works everytime for me. kk thats the last thing I am gonna say bout this.

Right-click has been supported by Mac OS since before OS X. Macs have had the ability to connect third-party mice for even longer, allowing mice with more than one button.

Yep, it's a personal preference for sure: delete and reinstall (peecee) or get things done (Mac). I prefer the latter. ;)

Right on... I never intended this thread to turn into a flame war for either side... just a friendly "I use this platform."

As Cols mentioned, this does seem pretty even so far... really puts to rest any notion of "only Mac fanboys will buy the iPhone" arguments.

Well, it's not that even anymore.:)

Chris will probably close this one before long anyway.

I think Apples position in the marketplace is really humorous these days.

In computers they are the underdog that once almost died.

In music players they are the 1000 lb. gorrilla.

In mobile phones they are the young upstart.

It's hard for people to know whether to love 'em or hate 'em. :laugh2:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA, vista sucks more then xp.
I find you saying this simply hilarious because many of you Mac enthusiasts say that Vista copied Mac OS. So if some of you say that, and then say Vista sucks, I find it humorous/ hypocritical.

It doesn't suck because of anything it copied. :)

I actually use both, but mainly my Windows system that I built. Although I prefer Mac OSX and Apple machines, most of my stuff is still on my Windows and I am more used to it. I still do use my iBook G4 pretty often, though.
