So I sold my MacBook air late 2011 model for $1500, got the new MacBook pro retina 512ssd drive with 8gb memory what an awesome machine, love the fact that Apple product do pretty well in reselling it, retina display is great just like my iPad , will be happy to see air retina soon

How is the weight of the MBP retina vs the MBA?

The new MacBook pro does indeed look tempting. does it get hot after a lot of use? I use my air a lot when sitting on the train back and forth to work about 45min trip. So would like to not burn my lap And the weight is an issue of course, dragging it around all the time. Ideally I'd like a 15" air

Air is lighter but for MacBook pro 15" is pretty light impaired to older model . Haven't had any heat problem . For that matter same goes for battery, last about 7 hrs of good use slightly better than my air was
