Make the keyboard go away

I hate to ask because I am sure it is simple, but how do you make the keybard go away when you are done typing. For instance, during text messaging I woul like it to go away until I read the response to whatever I typed. Thanks

I believe there is a "Done" button on the top right corner of the keyboard. This hides the keyboard after use.

Nope. The top right is clear, which clears the conversation. The top of the keyboard is the send button

Yeah thats in Safari. The post is about texting. BTW.. I can't make it go away.

Just tap message in the upper left corner, then click onthe conversation from the list. I will re-appear without the keyboard.

This works....only way i've found, to do what you're trying to do.
