Nothing you can do, it is actually an ad, and it uses a Javascript alert. The popup blocker does not detect those, it only detects the ones that would pop up a new page in the Safari tab list automatically. Because you click OK, Safari thinks you've authorized the page to open a new tab, and voila.
You could, of course, turn off Javascript, but that'd turn off a lot of functionality

Do you mean when it brings up the thing and says click OK?
Alerts don't let you use the page underneath the dialog box. It's the same thing that happens when you have a notification come in like low battery 10% remaining.

Wow. That's pretty bad. I can try to figure it out. Can you link me to a page that has this problem, or is it just random and universal?
