when i use jailbreak it gets to the hold down for 25 sec part. i do all of that and wait for the connect to iTunes screen. than i release the buttons. after doing that it says sending more files... booting iPhone... than it says that i need to learn how to hold it longer. i've held onto the buttons even after the connect to iTunes screen and it still says it. what am i doing wrong? i'm on windows btw.

I had no issues with Jailbreak/Monanza (sp) after my update this morning...Just a bit of a PITA to upload everything again...Drag and drop is too easy.

My update went fine as well. It's a bummer to have to do the WHOLE process over again. But, at least Manzana makes it a little easier.:)

I'll probably wait till the first big update before I do anything. Honestly, I haven't read anything in the update docs that would warrant me updating my phone. There are a few bug fixes for the safari browser but nothing application or feature wise thats enticing enough for me to go through the whole modding process again...anybody else feel the same way?

You should be able to use the same one as before. There is no new version. It worked for me and I haven't had any problems.

so princess can you give some detail as to what happened after you updated. What did you have to do to mod again? and was update worth it?

iFuntastic works like a charm! I already got all my ringtones back to my phone and my custom carrier logo too, all without having to type anything! this is great.

I'm still able to mod.
You need to follow the same steps you took the first time. But remember to replace the iTunes update software with the new one iTunes just downloaded with the 1.01 update. Change the extension to .zip format. Extract everything to your modding folder, overwriting the previous files when prompted.. Then run jailbreak. The one you already have should work as there is no new version available. Choose your modding program of choice and away you go.:laugh2:

I did just that and jailbreak hangs on 'booting iPhone'.

I just read on the iphone-dev forums that someone is modding again after the update with the 1.0 files...

Modded iPhone OK after Update

I have modded my phone prior to the update from Apple, after the restore and update, it too about 10 minutes to mod my phone back to the way I had it.

I had to run jailbreak
iPhone Interface
manzana

All worked great no issues.

even sync with Itune after remod and no probs

Got it working!

I kept all the files from the 1.0 and 1.01 updates.

Leave the 1.0 files there, and overwrite with 1.01 files. :)
