Move "contacts" to Springboard?

Is there any way to move "contacts" out from under the phone application so I can access it directly from the homepage (springboard?)

undoubtedly this is a way. being that it is merely a file in a folder. all you'd have to do is move it to the springboard right? or maybe its more complicated. What if someone created and app that just took you directly to the contacts. That way it would still be in the Phone application and you wouldn't be tampering with that. Sounds like a great idea!

Put Contacts on your springboard!

All you have to do is:

1) goto (Link removed, site no longer available) - No information is stored on any servers, just so you know!
2) enter a name and phone number
3) press Create Contact Page
4) Click '+' and click Add to Home Screen
5) Click Add
6) then just press the new shortcut on your homescreen!
7) when prompted press Call
