Alright, I have these audio lecture files that are MP3 files. What free software can I use to convert these files so they are iTune and iPhone compatible? At this time, my iPhone does not recognize these lecture files.

Thanks in advance!

My iPhone plays mp3 music files just fine. Maybe there is something nonstandard with the way the lecture files are encoded.

A quick fix for me (running on a PC) is to drop the file into Gold Wave (fully functional shareware) and resave the file.

When I run Goldwave, in the process of resaving my lecture files, do I resave them as mp3s files again or is there a more iPhone compatible file type that I need to save them as?

Anyone else has any other free shareware suggestions or how I can make my lecture audio files compatible with my iPhone & iTune?

Add them to iTunes, then right-click on the file and select "Convert to AAC".

See if that works....
