I'm on the fence about purchasing the 4G version of the iPhone, while supplies last. I have never owned anything from Apple and am curious how the music thing works. I have about 5-6G of music between home and the office. Some are windows media files and others are mp3's. None of the mp3's were purchased through iTunes as i do not have an account with them. Are there 3rd part apps that would allow me to upload any of the aforementioned music to either the ihpone or an ipod? I'm not about to purchase the same music 2X just have an ianything. Can anyone help me with this?

You will have to sync your music to the iPhone through iTunes however you will be able to import your music from your computer into iTunes.

No worries, you should buy!

Like Apple says, it's the best iPod they've ever made. Syncing with iTunes and such is painless. Also, if you can, shoot for the 8GB. Just a suggestion.
