Hello people, my iPhone 3gs keeps changing the time even though the "set automatically" is turned off. I keep changing back to the correct time, but then when im not looking it changes back to one hour ahead. What to do? Would appreciate your help
Your phone should be getting its time from your service provider; in my case, ATT. The company that services your area might be having issues with their time server. I use an app called Emerald Time that tells me how "wrong" my phone time is when compared with 4 atomic clock time servers.
@MrMike6by9 My friends (iPhone owners) use the same service provider and have no problems..as for the app, i have a hand watch so thats solved Still bugs that i cant trust my phone watch and that my timeline on twitter shows recent tweets posted as "1 hour ago" when theyre being posted just moments earlier.
@Rugby Im not near a time zone line, i wish thats the proeblem but it isn't...i live in Jordan (middle east).
The iPhone has two time zone settings. I think the problem might be that you have one on and one off. They need to be both on or both off for it to work correctly.
1. Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calandars > Time Zone Support > Time Zone Support (Toggle OFF)
2. Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically (Toggle OFF)
