I was trying to use the iPhone, like an ipod to just transfer info from one computer to another (this case pictures), and i first noticed you cant drag files into the iPhone through my computer, so i synced the photos onto it from one computer and they are in a photo album on the iPhone, but i am not able to get that album off the iPhone onto a different computer. Can anyone help me please.

Thanks.

If on a Mac

Run iPhoto ... sync up the iPhone to your computer. Bring the pics in to iPhoto.

IPhoto should work. Sync with the other computer, unsync with the previous one. You can also get iPhoneDrive for $10 bucks, which allows you to use iPhone as a hard disk and transport files from computer to computer. However it doesn't put the iPhone itself in disk mode. That is still to come, from Apple hopefully.
Oh, and you're a Mac, right?

no i'm not a mac, windows here so what do you recommend
My condoleances...
What software do you use instead of iPhoto on a PC? Surely, it can do the same thing as iPhoto. What opens up when you plug up the iPhone? Some imaging app must come on.

it just opens up a camera and scanner wizard but all it can take off the iPhone is the pictures i physically took w/ the iPhone not the pics i've synced onto it from a diff computer.

Fort Knox, KY area
try installing adobe, its a free download. Think it installs something called album starter or something. Im pretty sure it keeps wanting to show you all the pics on you iPhone. I may be thinking of my ipod, but pretty sure it was doing it to my iPhone as well ( soon as you plug your phone in ) but cant verify that atm, my power is out due to a thunder storm, and iphoning it in the dark tonight. Lol

For the PC, you can get a program called Tansee iPhone Transfer Photo. It will allow you to get any picture you want off your iPhone to any PC. The drawbacks are that it's not free and that the maximum resolution is 640x480.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your question, but on my PC with XP, just connect the iPhone (cancel out of any program it starts), go to My
Computer and click on the iPhone icon (looks like a camera). From there you can drag your pictures to any folder.
