need restore help asap

my phone will not synce to iTunes at all, i tried to freshly install iTunes and everything..I held down the power and sleep button and it says to connect to iTunes...along with that windows vista a driver locater comes up and finds nothing once i do that...what do i do?

try running jailbreak on your phone.

Just open iTunes...Hold the Power and Home button until it says to connect and then connect it. Then it will ask you to restore. Close that dialog box in iTunes and hit restore.

Next time make sure you putfile Services.plist so you can connect to iTunes without having to restore again.

cd /System/Library/Lockdown
putfile Services.plist

Do this to restore your iPhone:

Just open iTunes...Hold the Power and Home button until it says to connect and then connect it. Then it will ask you to restore. Close that dialog box in iTunes and hit restore.

When you Jailbreak and use iPhoneInterface, your iPhone is unlocked. To lock your iPhone back you need the file "Services.plist". After you have made all of your mods in iPhoneInterface, before you quit & undock, you need to:

cd /System/Library/Lockdown
putfile Services.plist

This allows the iPhone to lock itself back, in essense, making it detectable again by iTunes.
