So I recently moved my computer/router from my living room to my bedroom all the way on the other side of the house, I find nod that I get a very slow connection when sitting on my back porch(the farthest point in my house from the router) I figure it's because of the distance, is there a way I can set up my router and modem away from my computer back in the living room where it was originally only leaving the comp where it's at?

You could get a WiFi card for your computer or string a 50 foot ethernet along the baseboards and up the wall.

Are your router and modem separate? If they are, you could do like Europa mentioned and just run a long Ethernet cable along the floor, or run it in the wall for the cleanest look. You can also have another router setup in the living room and bridge the two together making the one in the living room a repeater type of device.
Probably should ask what kind of router it is also.
