My volume when listening to iPod songs through the speaker is MUCH louder. I can feel my speaker vibrating through my rubber iSkin Revo even - if I have it turned to max I can hear it very far away.

I read in another forum that the terms were updated and they can cancel the service of anyone who mods? Anyone know how much truth there is to this?

I've been looking through everything, I don't notice any changes... maybe they fixed some of memory management problems or something ( causing phones to lock up from time to time or dumping to home screen ).

Okay, I have a PC and have modded my iPhone. I just tried to install the 1.02 update and it gives you an error then it makes you restore and recover your phone so it is stock again? (I'm guessing) Then the only option you have is to restore and recover. Then you can update.

We'll see if my service gets terminated or canceled.

don't worry, nothing will happen to your contract.

Yes, you will have to restore to be able to update. It sucks, I know.

Alright basically I got my iPhone working and everything but now my question is how am I going to sync it, I'm having sync problems at the moment. I've done a full restore and I'm still getting an error through iTunes. Is it because I modded my iPhone? Also, if someone is having the same problem, how do I troubleshoot this? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

try the whole reboot thing with the phone and computer. Modding your phone does not screw it up. Especially since its now back to factory.
Alright, thanks for the reassurance that my iPhone is fine. I just restarted both and everything is working fine now. Phew! :laugh2: I guess I'm going to join the non-modders once again until I find out it's safe to do it, I gotta build my confidence before messing with customized ringtones and system sounds again.

I'm pissed cause the only thing I do each time is add a single ringtone and now this is the second time I had to go back to factory.

Since Apple didn't design the iPhone to be an open system, it is very unlikely that they'll be able to release patches that would work reliably on modified phones without first restoring them to their original state.

So you better get used to this :)

LOL... Should have just used the iPhoneringtonemaker. I have like 6 ringtones on there I made and they're always there after a new patch. But I didn't Mod my phone either :laugh2:

The volume through the ear phones is much louder when on a call than it was before the update. I haven't tested the speaker phone yet but I hope they fixed that as well.
