Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster has a rosy outlook for Apple thanks in part to iphone-generated revenue. He expects iPhone revenue to add an additional US$2.49 to the calendar year 2009 EPS of $4.82, and as such is raising his target price for Apple stock from $160 to $205.

Whoa! $205! Yeeeha! Glad I got my shares at $84!

Just go to etrade, set up an acct., but you'd have to buy an awful lot of shares to make any money now. Hell, 5000 dollars would only get you around 35 shares! Have you seen Google's stock lately? Jeez!

I use TD Ameritrade. I think you need to deposit a minimum of $500 to open an account. At least that is what you needed seven years ago when I opened my account. I just threw in a few dollars as play money back then. I've made a few good trades (and lots of bad ones) but I dumped all my money into Apple about a month after MacWorld when the iPhone was introduced. Damn glad I did.

When the analysts posted a price target of $160 a month or so ago I thought they were all smoking dope. Now with the stock at $140+ its doesn't sound so crazy. $205 though is in the freaking stratosphere!

With etrade, etc., is there a minimum number of shares you must buy? Or can you just get 35 shares of google.

ah yes, another lovely day, Dow down 149, every stock in my 14 stock portfoilio down today EXCEPT that little ole Apple one up 3.75 :) . My broker told me the other day when I called to buy some more that my basis was around $22. And he wanted me to wait for a pull back before buying more. he's been wrong trying to get me to sell all these years and probably wrong again.

I was able to get in at 91, bought some more at 99, and bought more at 120. Im thinking abiut buying more. AAPL will continue to rise.

For those of you interested, Apple releases their Q2 earnings on the 25th. If the numbers go according to estimates (ie through the roof) then the stock won't take any significant dip for quite some time.

If you can, get on the train because it's moving fast!

I picked up a lot of shares at 141 and made some money on Friday. I'm a little worried about the press release coming the 25th. I have a lot invested so I might sell out if it doesn't look good. The stock is either going to go sky high or ground low after the press release. I still ahve yet to decide if I am going to keep my stock in.
