these should still use web 2.0 but not need a connection to run. this is great! have you guys thought about it? i mean if you travel outside edge range or wifi....whatever you are doing would crash or stop working. that would suck if you were in a google doc and lost your connection without saving. i hope they figure this out before too long! i travel quite a bit.

According to the Google Gears website "[SIZE=-1]Google Gears (BETA) is an open source browser extension that enables web applications to provide offline functionality."

Which probably means that they'll run through Safari (and not stand alone apps *sigh*)
