Edit: Pic removed. Looks like all those songs were a tribute to AC/DC as was said below.

I searched everywhere, try pandora and search for ACDC you'll get a few songs there. everything else is with a paid subscription like last.fm.

well we need the back to black and greatest hits on my sons iPhone. He uses that for his drum lessons. What a bummer and there was Steve Jobs in his key notes telling us about cloud and no none iTunes storage since it is all available on iTunes. AC/DC is really not some no-name band ?

This may be stupid, but why not just go to Walmart and pick up the albums you need? Then rip them into iTunes and put them on the iPhone. Yeah, it requires a little bit more effort, but it'll get the job done.

well yeah that is what I do. But honest if this was not for his class I would refuse too. I like our devices for some reason and I pay for my music and entertainment but I also expect to get what I want. I could get it easy for free.
I am not certain if they can be backed up in the cloud later on ?
Since I have no ripped music my hubby does but has no beta
and now I got an e-mail telling me my cloud is almost full. GRRR I guess my son will fly in his own cloud sooner or later. Hubby will have his own later when iOS5 is released as well. iTunes still can be shared.

Well, I'm not sure about the whole Cloud thing because I'm still not 100% sure I understand iCloud. I have MobileMe and I know it'll be similar to that....but other than that, I just haven't done enough research into as of yet. I'm a firm believer in paying for music/movies/etc. If you don't do that, you're just a thief. IMO. So if I have to go to Walmart or some other store to legitimately own something, I will. For years the Beatles weren't on iTunes. I mean, all of my Beatles stuff is ripped because I own it all, but I would've never gotten a Beatles song for free. In fact, most of my iTunes library is ripped from albums that I own myself. I can count on one hand the number of songs I've bought off of iTunes.

I thunk ive still got sn iTunes voucher knocking around somewhere. It just seems expensive. So many stores now have sales thats its actually cheaper to get the physical album rip it and throw away the disc! I bought Smallville season as well, a few days later it was out and cheaper in JB Hifi!

Forget Walmart and amazon - head into a local music shop. Surely there are still some around. At the very least you can score some used copies.
