Guys,
Not sure this been posted anywhere, have not been able to find anything.
My camera roll will not show up. Phone is jb with snowbreeze and 4.3.3. Took some photos yesterday and played around with the camera plus pro app a bit. Tried a hard and soft reset. Nothing. Switched on and off. Nothing. Respring. Nothing. Reset Settings. Nothing. Yet all the photos I have in camera roll still show up in the DCIM folder in iFile.

I'm puzzled as to why its not working. Is there any solution for this, could it be that the camera plus pro app is conflicting with the stock camera app? if I take photos with cpp, they show in the app's camera roll, yet not on my stock app if I use the stock app?!

If you know how to SSH in and look at your file system, or have an app like iPhone Explorer that will let you do the same, then try renaming this folder:

/private/var/mobile/Media/DCIM/100Apple

I believe it gets recreated when you do that, and should put the Camera Roll back to its default permissions etc and fix your issue.

I think he was suggesting that you try to change the name of that folder to something else, such as 100AppleNEW. The permissions would be repaired upon reboot and the folder would be renamed 100Apple.

If that doesn't work, I suggest uninstalling all of your camera apps, checking to see if the folder shows up, and then reinstalling the apps one at a time. Be sure to check to make sure it continues to work after each app installation. I'd start with the Cydia camera apps (PhotoAlbums+, Snappy, SnapTap, etc.) as they are the most likely culprits.

A restore to factory settings will almost certainly fix it.

Did you reboot after renaming the folder and uninstalling all photo apps?

Yup. that's exactly what I was suggesting. That has worked for me on iPhone and iPad when I've hit on this issue.

Yes have done that. tried a restore yesterday.
The problem would most likely persist with a restore from backup, but it's very unlikely that it would with a factory restore.
Forget that last post. It appears to be working now.
So, did renaming the folder work or was it an app? Posting the solution may help someone in the future.

I don't know what happened Mindi. Tried pats suggestion and it didn't work, then yours and nothing. Might have been fb photo save I think. Just uninstalled that then installed it again. Camera roll is fine now.

I've not really got much choice jack seeing I'm running iPad bb and a windows pc. I suppose I could use redsn0w but sn0w was so easy.

Oh ok I was unsure what you could jailbreak an iPad with. I've jailbroken my iPhone with Redsn0w and it's worked flawlessly. I think you can jailbreak iPads with jailbreakme.com but not sure.
