From what i have read at phonescoop.com there is no video capture and only video playback via YouTube.....

Check it out

Could be an Apple surprise...one of the big secrets. There has been no talk about the camera from Apple....

What about when you go to upload a video it checks for a camera so you can record straight online, I guess we will need to see if iPhone CAN record video.

I haven't seen anything to confirm this.

The fact that they have never mentioned it having video, means it probably does not have video capture.

But again, they have not said one way or another.

They haven't said anything on the vibrate feature, and people wondered about that, but it has it.

You can confirm that it has vibrate?

But no the two are no synonymous. Vibrate is now a standard feature on phones, where video capture is not. Odds are it will not have it.

How could you possibly think the iPhone doesn't have video.... I'm not saying it does, but Hello.... look at what it's got.. I don't see why it won't.

Yes.
I would say that video capture is a industry standard now. I don't know for sure, but i would venture that it does have video.

When Cingular first released the Motorola RAZR in the US, it didn't have video recording capabilities either. Within a year though, there were software updates to enable this feature. Look for something like this to happen through an iTunes update later on.

Agreed it defietly must have video.

What I (and am sure others here are referring to) is that YouTube may not recognize the iPhone camera and be able to record directly online.

Time will tell.

A lot of blackberrys don't even have video capture. Certainly isn't standard, although it is becoming that way. I think they certainly would have said it had it if it did at this point. Especially a company that is so media friendly.

I kind of agree with you. The media friendly concept carries over just so much as to almost tick you off There are so many people on here who are just ANGRY with att, but who knows, to att, it may welcome that, even if you are thinking poorly of it, you are still here thinking and thinking and thinking. Hype is a CRAZY THING.

The fact that this is running OSX and synced through iTunes, would leave me to believe we will see a lot of feature updates and improvements like we do now with OS updates. I would also imagine those MAJOR OS UPDATES will cost a few bucks similar to the $129 we will pay in October for Leopard

Since the macbooks and pros all have a built in iSight that does photo and video I bet the iPhone will have it as well.

That's true. That's just another way for El Jobso to make a little extra change.

I just bought my iPhone from a store in Sandusky, Ohio. I only had to wait in line about 1.5hr

Anyways, it doesn't have the ability to record video and I don't think it ever will because that feature requires more and different hardware. I think that's the reason Apple left that feature out. The extra hardware would make it bigger.

I couldn't believe how small it was when I first opened it. It was just as thin as my 5G 30GB iPod Video.
