I converted my existing blackberry with data and text plan.

have you gotten a voicemail yet? I set mine up and it works fine.

You have to go into voicemail on the iPhone and set up a greeting. If not, people will get a "the user has not set up his mailbox" recording.

It never gave the option to set my voicemail up. I was an existing At&T customer and it just carried over my old message.

I have gotten several voicemails. When I click on voicemail it just dails my voicemail.

I'm having the same problem. I converted from a bb plan as well. I went to my att account last night and they had not removed my bb plan. So I removed it. Now I'm getting errors saying edge is not activated which means there is no data plan in place. I'm going to the att store today to see if they can fix this.

I almost removed my bb plan online like 5 minuts ago, but I will go to the store at noon and see if they can do anything

Strange. I just got back from my local At&T store and was told that there is a known issue with visual voice mail(works for some and not others). Claimed it should be fixed within a couple of days.

Thats odd...I just got back from my ATT store and just like I thought, they never canceled my bb plan and never activated my iPhone plan. SO after I canceled my bb plan last night, I went to the store and it took her a few minutes to find the iPhone plans in their systems but once she did, she selected my plan and my viz vm started working right there.

Maybe your rep just couldn't find the iPhone plans and fed you a line of crap to get you out of there.

btw, are you getting any edge errors?

Nope, no Edge errors

I just called AT&T and I had the same issue you did, old BB plan not taken off and new iPhone plan not added. They are trying to fix is as we speak.

I don't have visual voicemail either but its weird because when people call me and I'd tries to go to voicemail it says "your call cannot be completed as dialed" weird.
