Notification for Facebook apps not working

I have an iPod touch 4G and I am not getting notifications for My Facebook app and Facebook messenger app. I have the notification settings on for both. Has anybody had this problem or know how to fix it?

Probably facebooks problem, they do so many changes w/o updating the app.

Facebook app notifications are unreliable. You might want to consider using a push email account, such as Yahoo, for facebook notifications on your iPod.

There was a thread in here where a user was having the same problem. She said she went to her computer, deactivated her FB account, the re activated it and her notifications started working again.
I'll search around and see if I can find you a link to that thread.

No the 2G is actually my friends. I was trying to help him find out how to fix it so I posted it in here for him

Okay. So your dad typed the wrong password into your friend's iPod Touch (not yours) too many times and disabled it?
