Yeah Hawk that is some crap. I had the 3G before and Free Memory kept me sane. Didn't they also gut all the memory freeing programs? It was like they had updates and the update added stuff but removed the memory freeing functions. Just another ploy to render the 3G outta date! I guess as long as people like me keep buying the latest and greatest every June the cycle will continue.

Well I just restored and set up as a new phone for 3.1. I don't understand why I'd have to do this every time a new firmware comes out, seems like every update something gets messed up. I'm going to use the phone now and see if my battery life still sucks and see if I still get signal issues.

3.0 to 3.0.1 was okay but I hope this isn't a common trend everytime a new update comes out.

Well, I got a new phone from Apple due to my GPS. Let's see how the battery life is on this. On my last phone it was freakin' awesome.

Apple removed them all, but you can still easily free memory if you're jailbroken.
SB Settings > Processes > Free Up Memory

Darn it Europa, you know I upgraded to 3.1 and lost jailbrake. You could have just told us, you didn't have to post those gorgeous screen shots!:eek:k:eek:k

I really miss SBSettings!

Also, if you had Free Memory, there was never an update to remove the free mempry function. They just pulled the app from the app store, so if you have the app, you should still have the ability to free memory.

Yeah Hawk I knew about the free memory thing but Naps I'm not sure about the SAM app as I see version 1.2 is supposed to kill the memory freeing function. I do wonder why the made istat remove that function but allow SAM the freedom to use it. Kinda a double standard.;)

1.2 hasn't been released yet but rumor has it that when it is it will do away with that function. That's what happened to istat. It was working great and then in checking for updates I and others accepted the update and bam, it was gone. I know you do not have to update but it would drive me crazy to look at my app store icon and always see a red 1 there.
