For those who've updated, what the release version say? According to Engadget, there is now a 3.1.1? Or was this supposed to be the same as 3.1? Confused...

3.1.1 is for the touch and the iPhone gets 3.1. I am guessing cause the iPhones will get 3.1.1 on the 25th for mms, the touch won't benefit from 3.1.1 so they got it today. They need to clarify that it is 3.1 for iPhone/3.1.1 for iPod touch cause it is causing confusion:

Installing 3.1 now, still waiting on iTunes 9 to finish Downloading.
3.1 downloaded in 8 minutes (302MB) iTunes 9 is still downloading after 15 minutes (90mb). Must be different servers, this is annoying lol.

Mine will take a while. I have AT&T DSL and it sucks. I wish I could get Comcast internet, but the apartment complex won't allow it here. So, I'm stuck on crappy DSL and slow connections. God, I feel like I'm back on 56k
Hey, I still have MMS after upgrading! I really like the new iTunes, and the voice commands via b/t is great.
Make sure you take everything out of folders before deleting the app. It's a pain but you won't lose any apps that way.

kk And it officially updated me to AT&T 5.0. I wanted a fresher look and I got it with iTunes 9. I love it and it is faster in almost every area 
. 3.1 I am still not super happy with, I don't feel much if any difference from beta 3 to today's release. I think I need to restore to get rid of beta code etc, but don't know how long it will take since I never did it on my macbook pro yet. Not sure if I need to set a whole day aside. My windows laptop took forever to restore. And my battery still isn't good so I'm wondering if it is the phone and not software related. After the restore if there is no improvement it will have to get replaced 
can someone help me out.. whats the deal with genius mix? im on 3g and i cant find how to get it to work. sounds cool but i have no clue
i am downloading 3.1 now..it says 4 hours? are you serious? its never taken this long for an update? I have dsl, but really, its never taken this long...whats up?

i have a friend with a 3g and when he tries to update, his phone syncs and backs up...but then when he hits the update button it says his computer is not connected to the internet...which it obviously is....he has turned iPhone off and on and rebooted the pc....anyone have any ideas? Thanks. He doesn't even have 3.0 yet

It could just be a server problem if there are still a ton of people trying to get the download. Does any part of his iTunes store work?
