Ok, I'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden I'm getting status notifications out the wazoo. Text messages re-ring every ten seconds until I check them. Emails re-ring every ten seconds as well. And now, when I miss a call, I get a new, as-of-yet-unheard ding signaling that as well... every ten seconds.

What the hell happened? The only thing I installed recently that should have anything to do with that (maybe?) is the update for Notifier. But that should only provide icons at the top, right? I want that feature, but gotta find a way to stop these instant "reminders"... they're driving me crazy!

Any ideas?

You're not alone. I've read a lot of people have the same issue you are having. Thankfully, I never hit the update button. If there's any file you want just let me know where it is and I'll upload it for you.

***Just read on another board that Notifier will have a GUI to customize all the alerts...soon.

Well uninstalling notifier indeed fixes the problem. Anyone else getting this with Notifier 1.1?

[sigh] I guess I'll have to wait for an update.

these third party apps (non appstore) seem to be getting more janky all the time...

I know! I hate these annoying reminders! I'm sure the developer knows and will fix it.

I have the same problem and I think that it happened since I installed (and uninstalled a few hours later) Intelliscreen.

Did any of you guys install intelliscreen too?

I had Notifier installed before and never had any "re-ring issue".

By the way, only my text messages re-ring. They only re-ring once, a couple minutes after receiving the text message

I tried it. The GUI said you could turn off the reminder repeats but they kept coming anyway. Then on my third time fiddling with the GUI controls I got that mobile substrate crashed so you're in safe mode message. So... I uninstalled again.

Well I upgraded, anyway. Works great for me. I hope there's an update that will allow you to turn off the reminders at night. Until then I have the reminder alerts turned off.

Hi Dave - the new notifier come with a "settings" icon. Open it, and you can specify which alerts you want notifying for and for how long etc, whether a sound is played or not... quite good. Im running it with no problems so far!

Good to know. I suppose it's always a good idea when installing a new program to see if there are options available under settings, as they don't really make that clear do they?
