OMG my iPhone won't restore!

I tried updating to 1.01 and then it said i had to restore for whatever reason.. now i downloaded the restore update and it wont restore! keeps saying restore failed

ya but i think i fixed whatever was causing the error, i restarted my computer and the iPhone and it recognizes and seems to be restoring now ... phewww

my iPhone got messed up too during the update. guess no more mods for me (other than ringtones).
