Only one speaker working?

So I played a song on my iPhone today and I put my finger over the left speaker, the sound got very quiet and the right speaker sounded like nuttin was coming out of it at all or just a little bit. I put my finger over the right speaker the volume of the sound did not change. Has anyone else had this problem, do songs only play through one speaker? Should I bring my phone back?

If you had used the search function you would have found that this is a fairly common question. The phone has one external speaper and the other is a MIC. Your phone is fine.

I was confused about this too, one opening is the speaker the other is the mic. Don't worry it's normal.

The left side it the speaker and the Right side is the mic. In case some of you guys didn't know, theres a manual of the iPhone online at Apple.com in the supports section. It shows you a lot whats in the iPhone including a diagram of the speaker and mic.
