I am currently using Opera 9.2. It is a great browser. Earlier I was using Mozilla Firefox. That was also great but it was taking extra resources and was slow in loading. I have now changed to Opera. You get the best of all world here in Opera. At the same time I must say, few sites only encourage IE or Firefox. There I have faced problems.

I use Maxthon browser most of the times.
Its nicknamed IE2 as it supports most of the features of Internet Explorer and also some good features like tabbed window browsing, auto refresh windows ,notepad and collector window.
I feel its best among the current available browsers.

I suspect that most people who are big fans of anything but Opera have not chosen Opera simply because they haven't given it a real try.

It really is the Best browser on the internet. Many of the "new" features (Tabbed browsing, integrated google search) that Safari and IE have and the ones you have to add onto Firefox, Opera invented about 5 years ago, with a MUUUUUUCH smaller footprint.

I stand corrected. However, while they didn't invent the idea of a tabbed interface, Opera was the first mainstream browser to have one. If you believe Wikipedia, the actual first browser with tabbed browsing was InternetWorks, then NetCaptor, and then Ibrowse, and perhaps others. Wikipedia alludes to more but doesn't clarify and I'm at work so I don't have much time to research this. But indeed the first mainstream browser with tabbed browsing was Opera. Though yeah, they didn't invent it.

I tried Opera once. I thought the layout was really lousy. Safari's UI is really nice.

The whole point of Firefox is the massive amount of add ons available.

Yeah, add ons that give you the features that gave been native to Opera d
for years, that work better in Opera, and that require fewer system resources in Opera.

The point of Opera is to give you better developed features our of the box requiring fewer system resources and not requiring an hour's worth (or more) of customization before you can get your browser up and running like you want.

Hey, it occurs to me that there is another big company famous for giving you a computer that's usable the moment you pull it out of the box. Now do like their computers, or do you prefer to spend all weekend long setting up tour new PC?

Apple allows browsers that don't really compete with Safari. But you can forget about a real browser like Firefox or Opera.

There IS an Opera browser. But don't bother looking for it. You won't find it anywhere. Apple rejected it. I wonder why. Apple doesn't even recognize Opera as a browser*. The only people who get to use Opera on the iPhone work for Opera.

*After all Apple proclaims that Safari was the first and only browser to pass Acid 3 and we all know that the title actually belongs to Opera. I don't know why Opera doesn't sue Apple. Apple still makes that false claim.

All I have to say is anything is better than IE7. Such a failed attempt at being something else, it's laughable. I was told at work that I needed to upgrade to IE7 from IE 6. I said no thanks, I use firefox and Safari.

They're not REAL browsers. In fact, if you run the Full Screen browser then go to Safari, you will find your Full Screen web page in one of the tabs. The Apple approved browsers are really nothing more than special versions of Safari.

Again, they don't compete with Safari. If Opera or Firefox were approved by Apple then people would see just how much Safari sucks on the iPhone.
