Well, in terms of media, yes. Pictures, movies, etc. When it comes to apps, there is in general an iPhone version of the apps your used to.

By data, do you mean contacts and calendar? If so use Google. Sync your address book and calendar to your Google account on your Pre. Then set up your gmail as a exchange account on your iPhone and in minutes your done.
