That didn't answer the question. Honda is having horrid issues with his Ping! I just thought you could help since you were here. Read through the thread.Yes, I'm the developer. Please review www.PingMessaging.com.
I'm aware there are bugs and this will definitely be fixed. Email support@pingmessaging.com if you have specific issues. I'm working on a FAQ which should be helpful. Thx for your patience everyone!
I'm having this problem on my back-up first-generation iPhone (it works on my 3GS). I just read this in the FAQ:Has anyone not had it work for them? I downloaded it a couple of days ago and when I open it up it just goes to 'connecting please wait' and won't go past that. i've tried restarting the phone, reinstalling the app, doesn't seem to work. also emailed the support email but not getting a response.just wanted to know if anyone else was having the issue and if you were able to resolve it or not though.
thx.
(also: hi! first post.)
My V1 iPhone is unlocked & jailbroken, but I can still get push notifications from other apps, so this answer doesn't ring completely true with me.I can't seem to connect. The spinner does not stop and says connecting. What's wrong?
Apple blocks access to their notification server from unlocked devices. If you have an unlocked device, unfortunately there's not much we can do about it.

Same here.I am finding that you have to tap pretty hard and sometimes 2-3 times to get the cursor in the message window.
