Yes, I'm the developer. Please review www.PingMessaging.com.

I'm aware there are bugs and this will definitely be fixed. Email support@pingmessaging.com if you have specific issues. I'm working on a FAQ which should be helpful. Thx for your patience everyone!
That didn't answer the question. Honda is having horrid issues with his Ping! I just thought you could help since you were here. Read through the thread.

Lucky for me it was one fall and the damage slight. No duplicate falls, just messages apparently.

I noticed that it does that when you get a notification and don't go directly to
ping to read it.

Has anyone not had it work for them? I downloaded it a couple of days ago and when I open it up it just goes to 'connecting please wait' and won't go past that. i've tried restarting the phone, reinstalling the app, doesn't seem to work. also emailed the support email but not getting a response. :( just wanted to know if anyone else was having the issue and if you were able to resolve it or not though.
thx. :)

(also: hi! first post.)

I'm having this problem on my back-up first-generation iPhone (it works on my 3GS). I just read this in the FAQ:

I can't seem to connect. The spinner does not stop and says connecting. What's wrong?
Apple blocks access to their notification server from unlocked devices. If you have an unlocked device, unfortunately there's not much we can do about it.
My V1 iPhone is unlocked & jailbroken, but I can still get push notifications from other apps, so this answer doesn't ring completely true with me. O_o

Hmm, they work for me too. I emailed him telling him just that. Guess we'll see if I get a reply or not...

I'm switching over to whatsapp until the issues with ping are resolved. Too much of a hassle for me. Feel free to pm if you use it so we can add each other.

Eh, I think I'm going to remove the app from my phone later on. It's just another messaging app IMO and I have no real need for it.

I'll just stick with the usual AIM/Yahoo IM convos. I added my IM service names in my profile so you can contact me there. Feel free to add me.

I removed the app from my phone. I only had one person pinging me. Its great if you know a lot of friends who have iPhones.

I'm fairly confident that individuals with hackactivated units...push functions won't work properly.
