Just a simple poll question. I personally will never use that feature and for me it's plain useless . Some will disagree.

I'm curious what made them think this was a good idea? There must be lots of people who like it.

nope because why would people pay money to get music that they can get for free and also after Apple shrewd us over.

Has it been confirmed as to whether or not you can download free podcasts also? That could be useful.

Are you referring to using pirated music? That is illegal...

To answer the question, yes the wifi music store does appeal to me.

I was informed that podcasts will not be available via the iTunes Wi-Fi store. I could be wrong, but Apple hasn't made any mention of podcasts in their info on the service, so I'm not holding my breath.

I've always loved the iTunes store, and this WIFI access is going to be great (but bad news for me credit card).

I'll be impulse buying a lot more now, I know it.

I LOVE the idea of just downloading a song I want to hear on the fly. . .

When I hear a song on the radio I like, just DL it to my phone. That's great!

podcast support would be the beneficial aspect to me, although being able to preview/buy music on the go could be handy. personally, the more features we have the better. even if you don't use it.

What I like about it is being able to buy music while on vacation. I don't usually lug my MBPro with me unless I'm going somewhere boring... and no computer=no new music. Last time I went to HI for a month I was bummed to not have specific new songs to listen to on the flight home.

Would be nice if they develop support for wifi DLing TV shows and Movies, as well.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but if you look at the new "WiFiStore" page ( http://www.apple.com/itunes/store/wifistore.html ) is looks like what could be the new menu for said store.

Looks like podcasts and TV shows and all will be available. At least I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :D
What made you come to that conclusion? Nothing on that page, that I could see, says anything about podcasts and TV shows.

While I like having the ability to buy and download songs to my iPhone, I really want the whole enchilada (podcasts, audio books--everything).

I don't see what the issue is, unless they do not block access via EDGE.

I agree while the music is a nice feature for some people, the omission of video, podcasts and audio books suggests that because those products generate little revenue they do not need to be included. I understand it being wifi only though, we are already remininded daily of the low speed and terrible response time of edge.

i'm sure AT&T put the nail in iTunes over edge. i'm not sure any of us would even want to use it over edge anyway. its ok for web and email, but downloads...

I might use it occasionally only because of how easy it would be. Buying music from iTunes is not smart shopping - you can get legal, mainstream music in MP3 format for $0.19 a song from gomusic.ru and mp3sparks.com.
