Proxy App to fake being in the US?

Recently discovered such an app on my phone platform and was wondering if a similar app/function is available to iOS.

Basically I'd like to be able to access media streams that would normally say not available to me because of my location. Location based restriction are absolutely annoying if the thing is free otherwise.

Prefer a non-jailbreak version but a jailbreak alternative is also good.

You need to set up VPN....there are lots of free servers....
Settings > General > VPN...

edit: oops jumped the gun a bit... but should be able to access other countries web content on IOS via a proxy server...lots to choose from..

Isn't a proxy server typically browser app only?

Anyone outside the US actively using a solution they can share and is free?

If you know the address to a good proxy, you can set up HTTP proxy in wifi settings (tap the blue arrow on the network you're connected to), but then that applies to all of your connections. I don't think there's a way to do HTTP proxy on a per-site or per-app basis.
