Question before buying my iPhone

Hi

i see from Apple's website that you have to subscribe to a plan when buying the iPhone. so u cant buy the iPhone by itself without a plan.

how come i find many people selling iPhones on ebay without any plan? how did those people manage to get it without the plan?

You do the activation at home. So, you can just go in, buy an iPhone and take it home. It's up to you whether or not you activate it, sell it, etc.

Keep in mind that you will not be able to do anything (other than dial 911) until you do activate it.

You can "buy" it yes you just won't be able to use it until you activate it. Activating it will require you to extend your contract.
