I have not owned an ipod video prior to buying my iPhone. I was just wondering compared to how warm the iPhone gets while in ipod does your ipod video also get warm when listening to songs or watching videos?

neither of mine got really warm. watching video really drains the battery on my 30GB ipod video, but then again it seems like the battery drains really fast, anyway.

the iPhone has much smoother video playback and the battery tends to last longer.

It doesn't get extremely hot or anything like that but does get very warm sometimes while playing music or video for awhile, my ipod nano didn't get warm at all, i was just wondering if it did with the ipod video while watching videos. Just wondering if it was normal.

I have never had my iPod get warm. The iPhone - yes, after viewing a movie or long video.

Hey Connie,

I have both the iPhone and the 30gb iPod Video. My iPod never gets warm and the battery lasts a long time. I've noticed the iPhone getting hot while watching YouTube videos. It is of some concern to me. I'm keeping an eye on it. The heat issue somehow doesn't make sense, though, as the storage is static and not mechanical like the iPod.
