I have a 4S right now and won't be eligible for the $199 pricing until May 2013. If I buy the 5 at $449, will I still be able to set it up normally and stay under my current contract without anything changing? Will anything be different other than the price? Thanks.

Your 2-year contract will reset the day you buy it and your eligibility for a full upgrade will reset to 18 months from the date of purchase.
You would still be renewing your contract for 2 years at the early upgrade +$250 price. Fully unsubsidized, the phone will be at least $649. You would need to buy it full price in order to not renew your contract. As for whether your plan changes, that has not been confirmed one way or another as far as I know.

Got it, thanks. I just realized that the $449 price is already $200 cheaper than what it usually is. Shouldn't be too bad of a deal after selling my 4S on ebay.
