Regional Carriers offering iPhones

I live in Alaska, and yesterday 3 local carriers up here announced they will begin offering iPhones on April 20th. The three companies are GCI, Alaska Comminications(ACS) and MTA(Matanuska Telephone Association).

Has anyone else heard of local carriers offering iPhones?

Right now, AT&T is the only game in town. Verizon is also supposed to begin offering service in Alaska in either late 2012 or early 2013.

Im in alaska as well oh how I dislike GCI ...


It's gonna be interesting when Verizon comes up here, If they end up having pretty good service coverage & rates , I'd be tempted to switch since my contract is up next year with AT&T.
