Reorganizing contacts in iPhone

Does anyone know how to reorder the contact info?
I want mobile first then home, businesss, others, ect. In this order as seen when I go to contact in my phone. For some reason, when I synced my info, iPhone just puts it in no particular order. Some contacts would have mobile first and other would have home first. I checked my origin (Outlook and Yahoo Address) and they're organized that way I want it. But when it syncs, all hell broke loose. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I don't think there's an easy way to do it, short of exporting vCards, reorder their fields with a text editor, and reimport.

Another solution is just to make favorites and select the preferred number for each favorite.

Yeah, annoying.

It does seem rather random how they're arranged on the contact list.
