Replace carrier name with something else

Is there a way on a jailbroken phone that you can change the name of the carrier off the top of screen and replace with name or something ?

Like mine says VERIZOn right now and I would like to put my name or something else there.

Been awhile since I've been in Cydia, but I think I used fake carrier to change mine to iSnowtrooper when I had my old 3GS JB'd.

Cool I was wondering if you got it to work ........that is one reason why I do not JB

Once I finally got it to work out mutter, I was all excited. I have also found some friends that have let me contact them with jailbreak questions so i won't panic! I have so loved it.. love the BiteSMS
