Resolve the "yellow screen" issue by RESTORING

Restore via iTunes to download a new version of the firmware (2.0, 5A347). The colors will look much better after you restore. The shipping firmware on the iPhone 3G is 2.0 5A345. After the restore, the colors will be close to v1 iPhone colors.

I just got a new one few hours ago... and i would say there is no difference in the screen quality... i don't know y the people are making an issue about screen quality.... Its as gorgeous as the previous one.. and it feels even more SEXY when you hold it

just a note about the yellowing screen( seriously is not that big of deal, it still looks good) it works a lot better outside in the sunlight then the old v1

In short, whoever thinks that their iPhone 3G screen is below par are either at fault or got the faulty one(pun intended) ... I had the iPhone 1 for 10 months or so... So I know what I am talking.... ITS as gorgeous and crisp and rich in color as before

The 3G screen seems more yellow when looking at an large angle from above. When straight on or other angles I don't see any yellowing. Not a big difference and I can't see how a restore would make any difference in this. It's a slight (and I mean slight) difference compared to the first iPhone screen. But this one also seems a bit brighter than my original iPhone.

turn off the auto bright option. that should do it.

okay so i'm driving home and i notice my 3g phone is GREENISH/YELLOWISH tone to it and i'm like.. "not again" since the 1st 3g phone i got had 2 dead pixels. so i log into everythingiPhone and i just see the yellow issue is just a firmware thing. thank gooodness! dling new firmware now! =)

The shipment version is a little different than the firmware version which was leaked last night..notice how the old iPhones are not having this problem which upgraded it? The iPhones which you just bought had that firmware for awhile and there has been some tweaks to it and it has fixed the problem.
