well i seemed to have fixed my problem by checkin the box in the info pane to sync checked songs only.
then i went to ringtones and instead of sync all i chose to sync checked also and checked them alll
they then showed up again

in iTunes try unchecking manually manage my music. Then sync your phone. That worked for me when I had this problem.

open iTunes. On your iPhone summary tab the one that tells u about your phone. Towards the bottom of that page there are three squares. The bottom one says manually manage music and videos. Make sure that box is not checked. Then on the ringtones tab make sure the sync ringtones box is checked. Next hit the
apply and then sync button at the bottom right corner. Your ringtones should all b on your phone now. If you have more music in your library than u want on your phone back on the summary page click the sync only checked songs and videos. Then in your library uncheck the songs that u don't want on your phone. All this typed ony iPhone.

All my ringtones are showing up in iTunes but when I go to sync my phone theyre not all showing up under the Ringtones tab. So when it "syncs all" it doesn't add the newest added ones.

Suggestions?

Keep in Mind that they have to be no longer than 30 seconds and also after you convert them double click on it so it will automatically be added.

1. songs cannot be downloaded through iTunes. they are protected.
2. choose an unprotected song (limewire downloads)
3. right click on the song and choose get info. go under options to make your start/finish time. remember it can only be 30 seconds or shorter
4. after u finish that right click and then choose convert selection to acc.
5. after it converts you'll have two files with the same name. choose the one that is 30 seconds or however long you made it. next right click on it. Click on show in windows explorer.
6. change the file extension from m4a to m4r
7. drag the file from the windows explorer to ringtones in iTunes.
8. next go under the ringtones tab (in iTunes) then check your ringtone(s) you just created so they can sync.
9. sycn your iPhone.
10. go under settings on your iPhone then click on sounds. click on ringtones and look at the top. All your custom ringtones are there.

if you followed the above steps you should have custom ringtones. Goodluck!
