Safari always strting over?

Sorry if this has already been posted, everytime I exit out of safari and come back, it starts loading the most recent page again, am I doing something wrog or is this normal? Same with recent pages I visited.

Yes it is perfectly normal. If you want to be taken to a blank screen open a new tab but don't load a Website into it. Close other open tabs before exiting Safari and when you return you will get taken to the empty tab. If desired you can then open a new tab to view a Webpage (then close it before exiting Safari, retaining that one blank tab for the next Safari session).

thanks! Actually I was wondering how to keep my loaded pages without it having to reload everytime. I've just had it a few days and still learning how it works.
