I got mine Friday after 2 hours in line. It didn't activate until Sat morning but I love it. Not one complaint so far!

That will be awesome. I already know I will break mine at least twice

I'm currently waiting for ifixit.com to disassemble the iPhone and hopefully I will have hi-capacity batteries for it soon and screens to follow!

Hello Everyone,
I just found this forum over the past month and finally decided to sign on after lurking a while. I have found the atmosphere here very friendly and I have many of your posts extremely helpful.

I am a Mac user from way back in the 80s and am thrilled with my new iPhone. I purchased mine at the Victoria Gardens CA Apple Store. I got in line around 10am and there were already about 50-60 people ahead of me! The heat was a little unbearable for a few hours but Apple people brought us water. Everyone was nice overall.

I am enjoying my iPhone very much and learning a lot about it. Unlike many others I have read about, my purchase and activation experience was nearly flawless. Everything synced up really fast and I was activated within a couple of hours. I migrated over from T-Mobile.

I went to an iPhone workshop at the Apple Store yesterday and it was fairly helpful. I highly recommend these.

Looking forward to participating in this community! :cool:

I have some projected prices:

LCD = $175
Hi-cap Battery = $50
Front Casing = $75
Upper Back Casing = $50
Lower Back Casing = $30
Digitizer = $120

I'm usually good at guessing the prices. Unless you break the mainboard it should be affordable to repair.

Qwerty45, how do you see yourself breaking it?

I know how you feel. I was in line to buy one for my wife when she showed up and said we should get two! I love that woman.. I have been using as many of the features as possible trying to get fully up to speed. We even took the class at the local Apple store. We love our iPhones. All three of my kids want one now. Maybe next year for them.

Lucky you!

Looking forward to some fun times in this forum as the iPhone era begins. Waited 2.5 hours for my 8GB and ended up getting the last 8gb! :cool:
You must have bought yours at an AT&T store. I waited in line at the Apple store and had a ball with the other Mac Aholics:cool: I too bought a 8GB, and a 4GB for my wife.

Hello world.

I'm here to dominate the iPhone. To bend it over and make it say my name so that when I'm done it will obediently cower in fear and do my bidding.

The iPhone is unlike any other device the world has seen. Web development no longer has to follow the same rules. Touch screen, phone calls, flipping the browser: these features will change how we interact with the web.

I am a creative thinker and I thrive on challenges.
To say that the iPhone makes me happy in my pants is a gross understatement.
