I anxiously awaited the iPhone, stopping by the Cingular office in Thibodaux I do not know how many times to ask about it. Well, I waited in line for only about two hours to get the phone. It was certainly worth the wait!

On the day when iPhones went on sale I was surprised that there were a line of people in Thibodaux. There must have been about 25 people waiting.

What took you to San Diego? I grew up in San Jose.

By the way, this Friday I will be moving away from Louisiana going to Augusta Georgia due to a job transfer.

congrats Thibodeaux! I am from Sulphur, LA... now in San Diego. Nice to know LA is getting great stuff! haah, I joked to my mom about her big bag phone, hhaha, just kidding.

Greetings all the way from the USA. I have been close to Indonesia, but never got there. I have been in Singapore many times. I just love my iPhone. I bet when it finally gets there you will like yours too.

Hi, here's an iPhone fan from Indonesia, I'm really happy to find a great community here. Not sure when the iPhone will arrive here, but I'd love to learn more and more about this wonderful gadget.

See you all in the other posts :laugh2:

Yes Augusta is quite nice. I lived in the area from 1992 to 1999 at which point I moved overseas to India. I remember just a week or so after I moved watching the Masters on TV there in Pune thinking to myself: "why in the world did you move to India, look at how beautiful Augusta is"

hahah, I followed my true love, from Ragley, LA.. lol... he came for 8 years in the Navy and we are still here. No complaints here!

sunny and 72!

I hear Augusta is VERY nice!

Britna,

I too am waiting for mine to come in. The shipping date gets closer. In the mean time, do as I do, read and get to know the product. This is the best forum I have ever been in.

lol. that so true! I had a Q before switchin' to iPhone. I love this thing! I do miss like you mentioned nes roms and its much louder (I think) than my iPhone. But thats nothing because iPhone kills all cell phone, hands down! Welcome everyone and I hope Apple lets 3rd applications run on iPhone because I can't wait to set up Slingbox to my iPhone, that would be crazy. Anywho I can go on and on, enjoy!

yeah i miss the Q for the Exchange features and the volume like you say is definitely loud. I didn't like playing music or video through the scaled down windows media player it had. i also miss being able to customize my phone. I put to use a lot of the registry hacks from the EQ page and being able to load NES roms onto the Q. But the thing I could not get past was the sluggishness of the Q, even when i had all tasks closed in the task manager and the atrocious battery life. That thing sucked power worse than my ex wife sucked money out of my bank account!

I was in line @ the Grove in L.A. and day 11 of being a proud iPhone owner. It's so worth it-- specially the people in line with me were fun. Macy Gray was a few feet behind us! Love the phone, love this site:)

just curious. I've seen many people buying them in the Apple/At&t stores but mine is the only one i've seen out in the wild so far.

We live in Richardson, my daughter, wife and I all have iPhones but I have not
seen any one else with one. I bought mine at the AT&T store in Richardson
the day of release, my wife's company got hers in Allen the same day.
We walked in and bought one for our daughter (28 years old), Saturday
morning 6/30 from the Apple store at Willow Bend no line.
