Hi everyone, I am Pete and I live in Canada! Look forward to chatting with everyone here on the everything iPhone forum. I have been a long time Apple addict and eat up just about everything they put out and can't wait to get my hands on a iPhone when it comes out to the market.

Talk to ya!

Nice to meet you all. I live just North of the Golden Gate Bridge in Larkspur, CA. I miss-spent my youth in Cupertino when it was mostly walnut orchards and Apples only grew on trees. Nothing is certain but change! :)

Howdy all! My name is Gil and I am from Texas. I have just run across this forum and decided to join, as I am very intrigued by the iPhone. I would like to learn more about it, although I know that its a possibility that it could be just a rumor. The reason I am interested is that I would like to have a phone that can do more. Kind of combine the pda, the iPod, some applications... oh yeah, and phone.

In particular, I would love to have a phone that can do some better web browsing that what my phone can do right now.

Look forward to some great discussions!

Hello all! I have a phone fetish! Currently this itch has been scratched by the Palm Treo. I just bought a 680 without contract and am very active at another site, that looks very similar to this one called everythingtreo . .:p I am mac ignorant, but not pc biased at all. Its just where I got my start and you go with what you know . . . . .

That said, the announcement of what the iPhone will run certainly peaked my interest! I certainly see one in my future! I was a little surprised to hear "Edge" vs HSDPA, but not deterred at all . . .

Kudos for Chris for the wonderful foresight to get this site up and running!

Rolled across this site via google, while searching for more info on the astounding-looking iPhone. Looks truly superb.

Not the other day, i was exclaiming that after all my saving for the Nokia N91 to use as MP3 and phone, that it's absolute rubbish at music and slow and rubbish as a phone too. It also weighs more than my GTi and looks a bit poor in comparison to more recent handsets.

So i figured, get an iPod Nano (8gb would be enough for MY mobile needs, don't want video) and a new small, good quality phone.

Could i find a phone worth 'upgrading' to? Nope, not a sausage.

Then the iPhone pops up. Bingo, just what i need.

Just gotta wait till November for a UK release though :( Unless i buy a US spec one beforehand ;)

Hey! I am currently a Treo650 user, and I do love it. But I have been a Mac convert since 2003, and am very excited about the coming iPhone.
I was really happy :) to see Chris had started this forum, as I have gotten loads of great information and help from the EverythingTreo forum, www.everythingtreo.com
Looking forward to sharing info!

Hi and welcome to Everything iPhone. I hope we can build a great and friendly community here for the iPhone.

Thanks for joining! I think many Treo owners will consider making the switch and will have many questions surrounding the iPhone. Should make for good discussion.:)

Hi all! I'm new to these forums, but not new to PDAs or forums elsewhere. I look forward to being helpful as well as learning a lot from everyone else.

I'm Matt, I'm 15, and I live in western Massachusetts (although i'm a native bermudian born to american [citizen] parents). To give you a perspective of where I live, I'm 150 miles from Boston and about 160 miles from Manhattan. I was home sick when I heard about the iPhone. I was bored, so I watched the keynote..thing on Apple.com, and got to the web browser thing when i thought to myself 'they wont have it for cingular (my family has cingular)'. I checked the site. Low and behold, its EXCLUSIVELY for Apple and cingular!

I love the iPhone for two major reasons.

1) Its only for cingular, so if I get it I can rub it in peoples faces (people in my school made fun of me for having cingular, as the carriers of choice for most of the 220 people in my school [middle AND high school combined] are Verizon and Sprint)
2) its a BAR PHONE! People also make fun of me for having one (I'm currently the proud owner of a Moto Slvr)

Um, thats about it.

Welcome to Everything iPhone. I too currently use a Treo 700p and run Everything Treo. The iPhone will certainly shake things up. Thanks for joining.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm from southeastern PA. Looking forward to the iPhone arrival so my Mac has a friend to play with. We'll see!

I'm a MacBookPro user with an iPod, a faithful Motorola side kick for about three years. I've been searching the world over for a phone upgrade that will sync with my Mac as flawlessly as my iPod does. No luck until now. iPhone is my hope on the horizon.

Oh, how life could get easier.
