I doubt we will ever know if the second rat is conscious of the remote stimuli or if it just reacted with a "better than random chance." I got a chill down my spine imagining "getting connected" to another persons mind like that. It brings up so many questions: With our human consciousness, would we feel the connection? Would we be able to discern the remote impulse separate from our own psyche? If so, could we resist it? How much will advances in this technology enhance communication and reduce misunderstandings? Can it be used for mind control? Do we even have free will in the first place? Can we set this up over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth? Have I read too many Sci-Fi novels or too many books about ESP and Channeling?

That's pretty amazing. Though I suppose they blew all their money on atom manipulators and couldn't hire a real film scorer or audio engineer...
