Hi just found this little app. Can't count the number of times someone has asked me for a contacts details including my own. At least there's now some option. It probably should be free but I paid and it does exactly what it says on the tin.

Emailcontact

I didn't write it and I don't know anyone involved with the app

Well well, seems we found the same thing ;)

One thing is would like this app to do, is the possibility to send the contact information through SMS too. Or a choice before sending the info, email or SMS.

Dang there you have it.

Oh and i didn't program it either.

I beta tested an app very similar to that one. the one i tested is called GoContact and the developer explained that Apple will not give developers access to SMS that is why the informaion is sent via email. The developer of GoContact has a work aroound for this by utilizing teleflip service which sends text messages to people through your email client. GoContact works great and i do recommend it when it comes out. I have not tested the app posted by irobot though.

When the other party receives the contact info, how do they add it to their contacts? So if I send my wife someones contact info, does she have to remember it from the email and manually enter it into her contacts?

The developer of EmailContact will implement vCard support in the next version.
Ohhh, is that what Im looking for? vCard? Gothcya, thanks.

So does that mean that I send a contact info to someone and they have to just read it and then manually enter it into their phone? Seems like the only thing convient about it is that I don't have to type it into the email.
